More Catalog Entries

January 1st, 2006

Alright! Happy New Year! Bugs, Reptiles, Plants and Trains have been added to the website. I’m getting all my cats and dogs together for two more categories.

As always, cutters can be made from your own designs or any of my designs can be altered to your personal preference. That’s the good thing about not making the cutters on a machine. Hand crafted cutters can be made in any shape.

Hope you’re all having a really great New Year.

Catalog On Line

December 31st, 2005

It’s New Year’s Eve – the end of 2005. What a year it’s been. Congratulations to customers Chris and Margie of “Let Them Eat Cake” bakery in Costa Mesa, CA. They won the Holiday Cake-Off on Food Network with the most amazing Jack-in-the-box cake. It was huge and very elaborate.

Check out the new catalog pages. So far, the site has Animals of the Land, Animals of the Water, Birds, Dinosaurs and Mythical Creatures. I am fortunate to have my son, Jason helping me with this web page. Be patient, my area of expertise is bending metal, not web pages.

I’ll be getting my 2006 Schedule of Events out soon. Of course, we’ll be in Corona, CA beginning in April and running into June. That’s where my husband and I have our little vine-covered cottage on a permanent site.

Well, I would just like to wish everyone the happiest of new years, and the safest eve. Talk to you next year.

Playground Postponed

October 21st, 2005

Darn! We just got the news: Galactic Playground is being postponed until October of 2006. The organizer, Tom Wilson wants the time to make sure it’s an experience to remember (in a good way). Oh well. So, we’ll be looking forward to next year, starting with the spring Renaissance Festival in April.

Galactic Playground

October 11th, 2005

Galactic!!!!

Excitement is building over the Space Fair (Galactic Playground) coming up the first weekend of November. Kaitlyn’s Kutters will become “Milky Way Cookie Cutters” and Fairapy (plate breaking) will become “Flying Saucers.” Hubby Weebul will be wearing a bathrobe and pj’s, and will be carrying his towel and Hitchhiker’s Guide. I have ordered a cute pink outfit that reminds me a lot of Jane Jetson. We have one participant threatening to cover his head with foil so no aliens can read his mind. It ought to be a blast!

Fall Festival in Koroneburg

September 28th, 2005

September 10-11, 2005, we opened the village of Koroneburg to visitors from modern times. Although the turnout could have been better, we had beautiful weather, beautiful village, beautiful people and an absolutely wonderful time with our neighbors and visitors alike.

The pictures that follow are of: 1) Amanda and Hookah, two sweethearts who are a joy to be around, 2) “Fairapy” (our plate breaking booth across the street) has new safety equipment. A tiny dish breaker is modeling the stylish hat and safety glasses, 3) Weebul, the Giant Gnome waters the road every morning to keep down the dust.

Cutthroats of Corona

August 30th, 2005

Boy, was it hot! Stacy (Ioreth) saved participants and patrons alike by pulling out her hose about every half hour during the worst of it Saturday. We had some great crowds Saturday afternoon and evening when it was cooler, and the village was enchantingly lit. The Kutter Kottage was candle lit with munchies, while the Fairapy Booth across the street was having a crashing good time. My son, Jason, and his sweetheart Heather, came out to Corona about 4 pm and stayed the evening. The pirate faire was a first year event – hopefully, more people will hear about it before next year. It was loads of fun!
Koroneburg’s 1st annual Fall Festival will be happening September 10-11. We’ve been doing the spring festival there for about 8 years – this will be our first attempt at a fall faire. But, the cottage is ready and we’re all excited about getting to back to our village. Hope to see you there.

San Diego Faire is Over

August 15th, 2005

Hello all,
It was wonderful to see so many of you in San Diego. It was a fun faire and it looks like we will be going back next year. Our next event (oh boy) is the Cutthroats of Corona Pirate Faire. It will be August 27 and 28 (only a couple of weeks away). It is supposed to be in the time period of early 1700’s, so our attire will change a bit. If you get to join us out there, we will be in our little thatched roof cottage, covered by vines. Lots of shade. Hope to see you soon.

What Are Kaitlyn’s Kutters?

July 5th, 2005

Sturdy tin-plated steel is shaped using small pliars, then soldered with silver to last for generations. Because there are no machines bending the metal, any shape can be made in almost any size. Each kutter is a unique piece of functional art and signed with the Kaitlyn “K” before soldering. Come see kutters being made at one of our upcoming events.
