Pi Cutter on ebay

November 10th, 2007

pi-cutter.jpgOk, I’m officially back from Arizona. The old wreck that was on the 1/4 acre is gone. It was a 1975 manufactured with non-permitted additions, built without knowledge of codes. The demolition started late and finished late, but it is done. Laid back is kind of an understatement, when describing parts of Arizona and the way they do business. The lot is beautiful – can’t wait to actually be living there.
I’m putting my latest “Pi” Kutter (#2) up on ebay at auction. Scott in San Diego has number 1. Bidding will start at $12. I’m having trouble getting my pics up. It is up on ebay.

Arizona

October 2nd, 2007

Hello all,
I’m at the library in Cottonwood, AZ. I’ll be in Arizona for about 2 weeks. We will be moving to Camp Verde (nearby) in 2008, but I’ll still be making my handcrafted cookie cutters in the most unusual shapes. And, of course, I do make custom cookie cutters from your design or mine. Right now, the ebay store is on vacation setting, but I will be able to check and reply to email, now that I’ve discovered this place. It’s a very nice library with friendly people. Unfortunately, I can’t put pictures up from here.

Susan Wilson 1959-2007

Longtime friend, Susan Wilson passed away Friday, September 21, 2007. Susan and Reed Wilson are the creators of the hand cast bronze dragon heads that we use to break dishes in the Fairapy Booth. When the Wilson’s broke dishes at Southern Faire, it was called “Plates of Wrath”. Their other game booth that year was “Cat-A-Pultz”, where freshly flattened felines were flung at plague infested rats. Susan made all the stuffed kitties and rats. The signs for all of their games were carved by Susan and her magic router. She also made signs for the Village of Koroneburg, where she ran the “Bloody Hook Ice Cream” booth. It is now called Ioreth’s Folly – if you’re in Corona, check out the amazing trim she carved for the building. The cookie cutter booth also has some of her woodworking in the form of carved 4×6’s and the Kaitlyn’s Kutters sign.
Susan Wilson was an imaginative, creative and talented woman and will be missed by her family and all who have known her. She was taken away too soon.

This is not the best picture, but the Pi cutter for Scott in San Diego came out so beautifully, I wanted everyone to see it. Of course, you’d want to use the Pi(e) Crust Goodies recipe with this cutter. I’ve been in Arizona a lot. We’ll be moving there by August of 2008. My husband is retiring, but I’ll still be bending metal and we will be coming back to California for selected faires and festivals. And, there’s the internet. We’ll still be able to communicate and the ebay store is going strong. Check out the new kutters I’ve just put there.

Faire is over for now

Gnomes in Koroneburg

June 17 was the last day of Koroneburg Renaissance Festival. The weather was perfect, the people were wonderful and gnomes started coming out of hiding. It was great to see new people visiting and hear their reactions to our village. There really is nothing like it.

Faire Has Begun

April 26th, 2007

We survived the cold and drizzle of the first weekend of Pyrate Faire. Somehow, all the booths got ready in the nick of time and the site is beautiful. This weekend, the weather should be a lot better. The cottage has a new look, but rest assured, the vines are coming back. A lot of people were surprised that the cottage was so adorable. It’s been hidden by the vegetation for years.

Pirate Faire April 21-22, 28-29

April 15th, 2007

I’ve been out at the site a lot. There was a hard freeze last winter and the vines didn’t make it. Not all died – some of the plants are starting back at the ground, but it will be awhile before they create the kind of shade we’ve enjoyed over the last 7 years. So, we’re building new shade. Our third annual Pirate Faire starts April 21 and runs for 2 weekends. Then we have one weekend “off” before our Koroneburg Renaissance Festival begins for the 10th year. Hope to see you there.

New Kutters on ebay

March 23rd, 2007

Check out the new kutters in the ebay store. I just put up an Alligator, Camel and Polar Bear. The camel is resting which prevents problems with legs breaking off when baking.

Deepest Apologies

March 22nd, 2007

My deepest apologies for the recent comment spam. Thanks to Christina Dickens for letting me know what she saw, and the problem has been fixed. Unfortunately, I was forced to close all my “comments” areas, but the site is free of comment spam.

New Kutters on ebay

February 12th, 2007

I’ve just put up two new kutters: a Winged Wolf and a Butterfly. Cheese looks so good cut with the butterfly – it makes pretty cool sandwiches. Look for more shapes within the next few days. I am working on a design for the next Cookie Cutter Collectors Club meeting which has a pajama party theme. No Lisa, I didn’t forget. Expect the design attached to an email soon.
